When and how did the brand start?
Dkode brand belongs to the footwear factory Soze, SA, which launch this project in 2002 as result of the experience gained over years of production for private labels.
What are the characteristics that define Dkode brand best?Dkode has a penchant for not only create innovative collections, as well as the variety in color and material combination that presents. Developing new solutions in technological point of view, enabling the manufacture of shoes with bold design, high standards of quality and comfort. We intend to build a brand image based on two pillars, communicating to the final consumer that fashion and comfort can merge into a single element.
What is the concept of the brand?
The concept is based on the Dkode creative design, free-thinking and high standards of comfort, which cause people’s imagination, creating a global audience of Dkode lovers.
Target:
Urban adults, self-determined and demanding, who keep looking for the best. Dkode offers  the ideal compromise between design, comfort and price, because we offer expertise, conviction and boldness to create what some consider a dream, others a luxury hard to achieve.
Markets where the brand has more expression:
The main markets are in Europe: France, Germany and Portugal, and also Canada.
Elements that could represent the 2013 Summer collection:
The classics are reinvented through materials inspired by the urban landscape. The traditional details coexist with the abstract. The natural leathers combine different textures, creating brilliant and matte effects. A very eclectic collection in shapes and colors. Everything is possible!
Upcoming Projects / Goals:
We plan to launch in 2014 our sales website and develop subsequently, accessories and clothing.
A challenge:
Opening shop, 2015.
National or international personality that inspires Dkode brand:The national figures with which Dkode most identify are the actress Joana Santos, the singer Aurea and the actor Ricardo Sá. Regarding international actor Jonhy Deep.
International sales:
At multi-brand stores located in several countries, France is our main market: Portugal, Spain, UK, Italy, Cyprus, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Israel, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Luis Onofre prepares Expansion in South America


Luís Onofre is a key personality of the Portuguese luxury footwear industry. Michelle Obama, Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and Paris Hilton are only some of the women who already swear by the designer’s creations. His shoes are sold primarily in Europe, but have also reached markets as remote and surprising as Mongolia, Azerbaijan and Uganda. Now, Luís Onofre is preparing to expand in South America, with the opening of two shops in Colombia.

175 Years of PETER KAISER

This label has come up with something truly extraordinary to celebrate their anniversary. In collaboration with the Berlin label C'est tout, PETER KAISER presents the first part of an exclusive anniversary collection, which will be available in limited edition in Autumn 2013.

Peter Kaiser founded his shoe factory in 1838 in the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Pirmasens. 
Today, PETER KAISER is one of the oldest shoe manufacturers in Europe and an internationally distributed label. The tradition is being carried forward with innovation. The perfect fit and modern classic design of their pumps are the result of 175 years of experience and employees with a passion for what they do. Fine materials and elegant design, handmade with plenty of attention to detail in company factories in Germany and Portugal.

New Concept: GDS to become Kick-Off Event

GDS - international event for shoes & accessories will be pitched as the international kick-off trade fair for the shoe and accessories industries from mid next year.
 
Boasting an innovative event concept the trade fair will also move forward in terms of dates: the debut event in this new format will be held from 30 July to 1 August 2014. This means that GDS will focus on communication, information and brand staging thereby allowing buyers to obtain an overview at an early stage so they can kick off the order cycle with all the necessary information.
Concurrently, Global Shoes will also be held with a new concept.

Event Dates:
11 to 13 September 2013
12 to 14 March 2014

New GDS Dates:
30 July to 1 August 2014
4 to 6 February 2015

The new concept will be presented during the coming GDS in September 2013.

Nuno Gama – The Conquerer


He has the surname of a man of the sea, but it was in the world of fashion that he explored new horizons. We had a conversation with Nuno Gama, the menswear fashion designer whose brand is celebrating its 20th anniversary. By Manuel Arnaut

It was certainly one of the most anticipated catwalk shows of the latest edition of ModaLisboa. It was up to Nuno Gama, known for his capacity to create assertive style messages, to close the 40th edition of the event, with a collection that celebrated his brand’s 20th anniversary. Attesting to the designer’s response to such high expectations, the public applauded the elegantly tailored suits, the fur-collar coat and the various pieces that invoke a truly Portuguese DNA. Let there be no doubt, Portugal really does have talent.
