‘Women’s shoes in cork – this is what “Rutz – walk in cork” is all about. For Summer 2014 this Portuguese label proposes sexy styles under the heading “Filigree Letters Collection” fusing filigree, hand-crafted ornaments with delicate pastel shades and refined metal accents in gold, silver or bronze. The colours of the collection comprising wedge heels, platform shoes and sandals are summery and garish while the textures of the cork and leather used are always carefully attuned to one another.’

OFFICINA LISBOA

 

.Officina Lisboa’s claim to fame are hand-made designer shoes in luxurious materials. In time for GDS this Portuguese premium label so far purely focused on women’s shoes presents its own men’s collection consisting of shoes and accessories. The plan is to extend the portfolio of sexy platform and high-heeled shoes and sandals or sporty sneakers, elegant slippers and brogues for ladies to also include classic men’s styles in future. Accordingly, the styles for men are meant to make the same strong fashion statement as the ladies’ shoes in terms of styling, materials and colours – which particularly stand out with their eccentric cylindrical heels. ‘

NELSON OLIVEIRA

 

‘“Flowers in the sun” is the motto for Nelson Oliveira’s debut collection for men and women presented at GDS ahead of its delivery date in Summer 2014. In line with the inspiration of warm sunbeams the materials used here are light and airy and the colours contrasting and lively. After studying fashion and marketing Nelson Oliveira specialised in footwear design and pattern making. When producing his pieces he attaches special importance to high quality, extraordinary materials and high comfort plus attractive design.’

Unfamiliar patterning and material combinations meet classic styles such as topsiders, moccasins, slip-ons and brogues with colour accents, skilfully clashing with the familiar thereby making a true fashion statement.’
